Margate Seafront Hotel

As part of a wider commission to help promote Perkins & Will’s UK portfolio, I was asked to write a series of project narratives to bring the studio’s architectural work to life for a broad audience.

One of these was a boutique hotel concept in Margate, a seafront development that blends contemporary design with the area’s cultural and coastal heritage. The brief called for copy that not only described the building but captured its atmosphere, ambition, and place in the local landscape.

I worked closely with the design team to translate the architectural vision into clear, engaging language, creating a narrative that positions the hotel as both a thoughtful addition to the town and a future landmark in its own right.
